Feeding my textile addiction

My DEAR FRiEND JaNeT of the BBG warned me shortly after we started getting together for ArTiNg fun that within three months I would be getting into wool.  "NO! NO! A THOUSAND TIMES NO!!!" I protested, siting that I already had too many divergents. (I just made that word up.)  But alas, look what's become of me!  Inspired by my friends doing their Sue Spargo projects, and our Mexican stamp making session (during which my little burros were born), I started getting woolly, designing a 9-patch quiltpillow:

You'll notice in this photo I'm missing the 9th patch.  That is because I had run out of that luscious hand-dyed blue wool, and despite three trips to the quilt shop where I had bought it, I kept coming up empty.  I started going through withdrawals.  I needed to embroider!  It was so bad that I started a new appliquè project!  FiNaLLy I got the bright idea to ask my fellow wool fiends if I could look through their stash for the elusive blue.  Sure enough, Janet had it!  The 9th square was finished last night.  Now I just need to decide on sashing or no sashing between the squares.

But this fabric junky does not live by wool alone.  On Friday I fell down the Pinterest rAbBiT HoLe of funky fashions.  I found out that sometimes I dress Mori girl style, sometimes Lagenlook style, and definitely boho-the-style-I've-been-for-most-of-my-life-ish.  I am so drooling over all the layers and patches and laces...that now...I...MUST...SEW...A GARMENT!!!  I'm feeling aprons, bags, and dresses gestating in my brain...LOOk OuT! It'S aBouT to ErUPt!!!

Stay tuned.
