Rob and I have been on the road since Thursday, first to Scottsdale, Arizona for the Scottsdale Artfest. What a beautiful setting! Alas, the show was not very busy and sales were slow, but I enjoyed the company of my fellow artists, the sunshine and the saguaro cactuses. Maybe I’ve chosen the wrong time to pursue art as a living as far as money goes, but it’s been the right choice for so many other reasons.
Back through the desert and into Los Angeles, California, we had dinner last night with a group of my dear friends who still live in L.A. We’ve known each other since 4thgrade! Paula , Candi and her husband Paul, and Terry. What a kick to get together and see where we are now in life, how much we have changed, how little we have changed.
Today was rest and relaxation after all that driving and working. We are set up in MALIBU! Sunny and gorgeous! Rob got a whirlwind tour of all the places I haunted before my life in Oregon: Northridge, Hollywood, Santa Monica.
Tomorrow morning we’ll be on the road again, heading up to Sacramento to see Aunt Billie, and then on to San Francisco for the Celebration of Craftswomen show.
Signing off with pictures from the day. Ciao, bellas!

Woo hoo! You've got to love going to the sunny, warm beach in November! (I hear it's been raining back home...) |
Happiness is a sunset that just keeps getting better and better! (PS - This is the view from our camping spot, once again. Paradise!) |
